We knew it was coming, but it’s always good to hear it direct from the horse’s mouth

The Galaxy Note 8 is coming, we've known this for a while, and Samsung itself has readily helped publicise the fact. Samsung wants you to know it's coming. Samsung wants you to know there's a follow-up to the Galaxy Note 7 and is banking on people not presuming that it'll explode just like its predecessor.

Explosiongate was a disaster for Samsung at the time, and one it is probably only just recovering from with the success of the Galaxy S8 series ipad battery replacement . The rehashed version of the Galaxy Note 7 has been rejigged and the battery has now been deemed safe for use. The handset will apparently be called the Samsung Galaxy Note 7R, according to Samsung.
